TSMC has enhanced its CyberShuttle
prototyping program with the addition of a new service that dramatically
reduces tape-out time and improves tape-out quality. The new service,
Online Tape-out, is accessed through TSMC-Online and virtually eliminates
manual information checking and confirmation through real-time cross-checking
of the mask database and the other information. |
| 1. |
|
||
| All tape-out request forms appear on a single web page, including the Mask Tooling Information Form (MT), Specific Technology Information Form (STI), and Foundry Service Request Form (FSR). This integration eliminates the need to file redundant information on separate forms. | |||
| 2. |
|
||
| Each shuttle type (such as 0.18-micron CMOS mixed signal general purpose MiM Al 1P6M, 1.8&3.3V) has its own tape-out form to consolidate the information from the shuttle-type-specific STI, MT and general FSR forms to clarify the request. | |||
| 3. |
|
||
| The CyberShuttle online tape-out form and tape-out database are linked through a cross-checking function, eliminating contradictory information. Database check results are automatically issued, reducing the time and effort spent on manual checking and confirmation procedures. | |||
| 4. |
|
||
| The new system performs a logic operation translation after the circuit layer numbers for each mask layer are identified. Once the logic operations are specified, the system performs an immediate syntax check. | |||
| CyberShuttle Online Tape-out is located on TSMC-Online under "Business Transactions". Click on CyberShuttle, then "Online Tape-out Form". |

| TSMC's CyberShuttle
is the foundry industry's most active prototyping program, allowing multiple
customers to share the costs of a single mask set, and prototype wafers
on a pilot run. CyberShuttle provides the flexibility and cost efficiency
that enhances time-to-market for leading-edge technology. The program not
only offers the widest range of technologies, but also the most frequent
launch schedule, and a packaging prototype service with in-house bumping
and turn-key capabilities. A step-by-step CyberShuttle access guide includes launch schedule, web-based reservations, mask layout inspection, and WIP status tracking. |
