The TSMC Education and Culture Foundation has been devoted to the promotion of arts and culture. Numerous sponsorships have set new models between corporations and arts groups. The Foundation pioneered cooperation between the corporate community and art groups in Taiwan by sponsoring Cloud Gate Dance Theater. The sponsorship helped to born Cloud Gate II and extend the development of Taiwan prominent art group. Apart from actively assisting Taiwanese art groups in international promotions, TSMC also invited the prestigious Berliner Philharmoniker, Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra and other renowned musical groups to visit Taiwan, and also sponsored "La Monde de Picasso", "Leonardo De Vinci Exhibition", "The World of Heavenly Khan- Treasure of Tang Dynasty Exhibit", "Musee d'Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris - The Exhibition of Modern Art of Paris" and "Millet -the Beauty of Countryside" renowned exhibitions and so on. Further more, the Foundation regularly sponsors children in remote townships to visit the exhibitions to plant a seed of artistic appreciation in their heart.

TThe Foundation is committed to preserve Taiwan's cultural assets and support the revitalization of historical sites. The foundation provided funding for the restoration of the former American embassy, bringing new life to the historical landmark that had been defunct for years. It was reborn in the form of SPOT Film House, which becomes a celebrated cultural showcase through its promotion of Taiwanese movies. We sponsored "Hsinchu Temple Preservation Research" to keep the precious memory for the descendants. We have also taken part in the historical landmark revival management program spearheaded by the Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) Taipei. It becomes a model for future developments and gains wide recognition for their vibrant and exciting exhibits that attempt to chart new trajectories for contemporary Taiwanese art. In the mean time, the Foundation sponsored the Taipei Story House' Literature Salon, which regularly invites authors to read on the site to add a new life to the old building.

The Foundation also sponsored medias to produce various cultural and educational programs. Since 2008 we sponsored IC Broadcasting Company to invite the Master, Mr. Hsin I-Yun, to produce "Confucius' Analects in Hsin's View". Through the broadcasting program we hope to bring the society more humanity.
