To minimize the difference in education resource between urban and rural schools, TSMC Education and Culture Foundation sponsors the 「Hope Reading Program」 organized by CommonWealth Educational Foundation. In addition to donating books to two hundred rural schools all over Taiwan to provide over twenty five thousand school kids with good selection of books, TSMC employees and their spouses also form a service team for book-reading in five rural elementary schools in Hsinchu and Tainan. These volunteers wish to stimulate students' interest in reading and provide them with the capability in life-long learning.
