Dr. Kenneth Kin
is currently Senior Vice President, Worldwide Sales
and Service of Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company,
Ltd. (TSMC) based in Hsinchu Science-based Industrial
Park, Taiwan, responsible for worldwide sales and services
of all TSMC business. Dr. Kin joined TSMC in July 2001.
Prior to joining TSMC, he was Vice President, Worldwide
Sales and Services of IBM Microelectronics based in
Boston, Massachusetts, USA, responsible for worldwide
sales and services of all IBM microelectronics products
and services. He was also a member of the IBM Senior
Leadership Group (SLG).
He joined IBM in May 1996 as Vice President of Sales
and Marketing for IBM Microelectronics Division in Asia
Pacific. Prior to joining IBM, Kenneth was Vice President
and Director of Operations of Asia Pacific/Japan Operations
of the Motorola Computer Group. His previous experience
also includes various management, sales and marketing
positions at Convex Computer Corporation and Control
Data Corporation.
He was a Director on the Board of Directors of the
Massachusetts High Technology Council and received an
advisory professorship in 1997 from the Shanghai Jiaotong
University, one of the leading universities in China.
He is currently an adjunct professor of the Institute
of Technology Management, National Tsing Hua University
in Taiwan.
Graduated with a Ph.D. degree and an M.S. degree in
Nuclear Engineering and Applied Physics from Columbia
University in New York, and a B.S. degree from National
Tsing Hua University in Taiwan.
