Hsinchu, Taiwan – Feb. 23, 2017 –
TSMC (TSE: 2330, NYSE: TSM) today held its 17th annual Supply Chain Management forum to show appreciation for the support and contributions of its suppliers. Keeping with the forum’s theme of “Collaborate and Win Together”, the event brought together over 600 suppliers around the world in the fields of equipment, materials, packaging, testing, facilities, IT systems and services, and environmental and waste management services.
In 2016, TSMC successfully brought 10nm technology into volume production and paved much of the way for risk production qualification of 7nm technology. In order to highlight the part played by suppliers in these and other successes, TSMC recognized 11 outstanding equipment and materials suppliers with its Excellent Performance Award.
“We live in a world of innovation, and the efforts of TSMC and its supplier partners make these innovations possible,” said TSMC Co-Chief Executive Officer Dr. Mark Liu. “By strengthening our Grand Alliance, TSMC will overcome challenges together with our supplier partners and continue to push Moore’s Law forward, grow sustainably, and enjoy the fruits of our efforts together.”
