This allowed TSMC to realize a quicker upturn than the industry as a whole. As a consequence, the Company’s monthly sales for the second half of 2001 increased steadily, with December 2001 sales registering a 6.1 percent increase over November 2001. The Company has therefore outperformed its year 2001 financial forecast , which was last updated in early December.
